(A.Maharaj) In dealing with the challenges of recent life such as: both my parents passing, changing family dynamics, losing nostalgic (long held) customs, serious family health issues, relationship difficulties, and changes in my career path, I have come to learn that things are transient. Reiterating that, the only thing certain in life is change. Emerson states, “What lies behind you and what lies ahead of you pales in comparison to what lies within you.” Thus, this work truly illustrates the fact that we can use our difficulties and problems to awaken and shed what BINDS us.
